From May 30th through June 6th we had the incredible opportunity to go river rafting through
the Grand Canyon with a big group of friends and family. It was an absolutely amazing experience! There
were the requisite injuries: Tiff's dad Joe suffered a badly sprained ankle, Tiff's brother Shad
and her cousin J.D. set a dislocated shoulder, and Bill was stung by a scorpion. There was also the
obligatory storm the evening of the sixth day. And then there was The Groover, a portable solution
to nature's call. And we enjoyed every minute of the entire trip! There's nothing like
being constantly surrounded by absolutely beautiful sights and almost a billion years of history!
Oh...and we took some pictures too.
Our friend Ryley recently sent us some of the great pictures that he took at our wedding. Hard to believe it was only eight months ago. With everything that's taken place in the last year it feels longer!
Just before we closed on our condo, we toured a house for sale in Bellevue. The house had almost everything we wanted
and it seemed like a great deal - even though it needed a ton of work. After thinking about it and visiting the house
a second time, we decided to make an offer. It was initially turned down as the seller had a better offer in place. We
resubmitted our offer after the first deal fell through, and the second time it was accepted!
The house was built in 1959, and not much has changed since, as you can see from the
pictures.
We've got a lot of work to do, but we also have plenty of time in which to do it. We're excited!
After two months of many lookers but no offers, we decided to take our condo off the market for the holidays.
Just a few days before Christmas our real estate agent called and told us he had a client looking in our complex,
and he'd like to show her our place if we didn't mind. She liked the place, made an offer, and we're finally out!
Fortunately for us, we had a friend with a great rental that was about to be vacant in Kirkland, and she graciously took us in as
tenants on a month-to-month basis while we look for our new house!
Our friend Pete took a bunch of great pictures at our wedding, as well as at the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. He also happens to be the father of Bailey, the flower girl!
After a lot of time - and a ton of sweat - spent upgrading the condo, it's finally time to put it on the market. Anyone want a condo within walking distance of Microsoft and Nintendo? Half-price membership at the Pro Sports Club (right next door) included!
We've been looking at houses and now have a good idea of what we're looking for, but we're going to wait for someone to make an offer on our condo before making any offers of our own. We really don't want to carry two mortgages in the current market.
On July 28th, we were married at the Pickering Barn in Issaquah, Washington. You can see pictures of our wedding by clicking here or on the link at the left. When the page loads, you'll need to enter the following information in the corresponding fields:

The following Friday (August 3rd) we left for our honeymoon. We spent our honeymoon at the El Dorado Seaside Suites, an all-inclusive resort in Mexico south of Playa del Carmen and north of Tulum. We had an incredible time while we were there, and it was hard to come back to "real life" afterwards. On the left is a link to some pictures from our honeymoon.
We finally have a new website!
As time goes by we'll be adding updates to this site so you can see what we've been up to.
